Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 12, 2026

People We Love is a family caregiving coordination app that helps you organize tasks, appointments, medications, and home maintenance for an aging loved one. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password, which are used only to authenticate you. If you provide your name, we store it with your profile.

Information you enter

To help you coordinate care, you may enter: care recipient information (first and last name, city, state, and your relationship to them); family member and contact information (names, relationship, phone number, email, and notes); tasks and to-dos; appointments (titles, dates, times, providers, locations, and notes); medications (names, dosages, frequencies, instructions, and notes); and home maintenance records (titles, categories, due dates, recurrence, service providers, costs, and notes).

You control what information you enter. We encourage you to enter only what is necessary for your family's coordination.

Authentication information

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares the basic profile information (such as your name and email) that you authorize, in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. We use this only to create and sign you into your People We Love account.

How we use information

We use your information to provide People We Love's features — to organize and display your tasks, appointments, medications, home maintenance records, and family contacts; to authenticate you and keep you signed in; to send service-related messages such as password-reset emails; and to operate, maintain, and improve the service.

Service and infrastructure providers

People We Love is built on a backend-as-a-service platform that hosts our database, authentication, file storage, and related infrastructure. These providers process data on our behalf as needed to operate the service. Third-party authentication providers (such as Google) process your sign-in according to their own policies and your consent.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to help protect your information. However, no online service can be made completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be exposed. We do not claim that People We Love is encrypted using any particular method, compliant with any specific security certification, or compliant with HIPAA or any medical privacy standard.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your data at any time using the "Delete account" option in the app. After deletion, your records are removed from People We Love, though copies may exist in routine platform backups for a limited period as part of normal operations.

Account and data deletion

You can delete your account data at any time from the account menu. This permanently removes the People We Love records associated with your account — your family profile, family members, tasks, appointments, medications, and home maintenance records — and signs you out. Deletion cannot be undone.

Your privacy rights

You may review, correct, or delete the information you enter into People We Love at any time. To exercise these rights, use the in-app delete option or contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

People We Love is not intended for use by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
